Charlie Says

I usually pass up on films made about Manson, cause most are fly by night and by the numbers. Once i found out Mary Harron was directing a Manson film i was stoked. Granted the only film of hers i love is American Psycho, i still admire her work. Maybe if this didn't come out the same year as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood i would have felt different but this is a boring take. I like the part prison life, part Manson Family life but that is it. Matt Smith is quite wooden in the role and the rest of the cast feels as if they are in a early 00s film that wanted to be Jim Van Beber's Manson Family, seriously the early 00s was a boring time for True Crime cinema. This here isn't any better, it might look better but i'll stick with Van Beber or QT.
