Peacemaker

 The idea of Peacemaker as a series had me on the fence. John Cena was great in The Suicide Squad but did he need a spin off? Especially how the movie ended? Well fuck yes he did! Peacemaker is one of the funniest & bloodiest shows on TV. It is in your face & raucous yet endearing & heartfelt. Every actor gets a chance to shine as does all of their respective characters, hell the opening credits alone prove that. This is James Gunn taking the DCEU and truly making it his own thing. This is him adding Troma into the DC Universe. It is full of love for horror, sci fi & metal, and covered in comic goodness without pretending to be high art, it is just a pure unadulterated fun time that knows when to be serious and have a heart to heart and when to crack a one liner. The kills are beautiful, and in 8 episodes we get plenty of them, on top of a super tight story that is thankfully told in 8 episodes. Since WB is moving away from Snyder, i'd love if Gunn became the new executive producer of the universe, cause this feel unlike anything else in DC.  I can not wait for season 2, this is probably my favorite live action comic book series since Batman 66.
