Boss Level is my new favorite Joe Carnahan film. It is reminiscent of his Smokin Aces but mixed with Happy Death Day and Shoot Em Up. It's a time loop, vigilante film set in an underworld of crime but done as a video game. Game references sprinkled through out, Richard Kelly style ideas, shoot outs, sword fights, plenty of blood and alot of laughs. This is a bad fucking ass flick! Frank Grillo is perfect for this role and i love that Mel Gibson is in his B Movie phase of his career.
