Hell of a Summer works best as a satire of gen z more so than a slasher. While not hysterical it does have its moments to chuckle at. The characters are designed to be annoying yet also have likeable aspects. The plot is that of your basic slasher, and the kills.....not a total gore fest or the most creative but it works for the story. While I didn't love this flick, it's still a fun time.
