Hardcore Henry

So have you seen  the trailers for Hardcore Henry? Yes? That is the flick...wait, that isn't a bad thing, this is the flick i wanted it to be, 90 minutes of pure awesomeness, do you like Shoot Em Up? John Wick? Kingsman? Then see this! Did you like how non stop Mad Max Fury Road was? Then see this! It is a video game movie, but much like Scott Pilgrim, it is not based on a game! This is a First Person Shooter of a movie, and a fun one at that, is it over the yes? Yes! Is the plot contrived? Yes! But i knew i was digging it from the ubber awesome opening credits, no joke the credits let you know the flick you are getting! Sharlto Copley steals the show as Kenny, i mean Jimmy, yes, that's the ticket! The blood flows alot in the flick, and there are tits & drugs, plus Queen and parkour! This is a flick that you can sit back and enjoy, just mindless, bloody fun, check it out....but if you get car sick like my buddy does, it might make you want to splash water on your face, so be prepared, but even if so, still enjoy it!

Baskets

Baskets is brilliant, it is a great show with good acting, however, not enough supports it for a series in my view, personally i think it is better suited as a film, had that been the case it would have been a perfect cult dark comedy, it is surreal at times, the humor is not for everyone and it involves rodeo clowns, what is not to love.

Workaholics Season 6

Not much can be said about this show that hasn't already been said, so instead i will just post my favorite episode of the season!

Daredevil Season 2

While the Marvel Films are fuzzy & warm, their shows are hard & cold, they are dark, they almost don't feel like they fit the same universe, but that is the cool thing, it is the universe, and much like ours, some people have happy lives, some don't, and while yes, most in the Marvel Cinematic Universe don't have "happy lives", those in the show have pretty fucked up lives. THe first season of Daredevil was a breakthrough, the fights are amazing and it had grit, Jessica Jones was the same way, but both had dull middle episodes, that is not the case in season 2, this is a damn near perfect season. Matt Murdoch is in a love triangle with Foggy & Karen, Daredevil is tag teaming with his ex to take down the Yakuza, all while trying to stop the Punisher from punishing crime, though they too must team up to take down the threat, Stick gets involved, Punisher battles him, Elekta battles him, Elektra battles DD, DD battles the Punisher, Matt is in a love square with Foggy, Karen & Elektra. The blood & gore is upped, Punusher caps fools left & right, head shots galore, the streets are painted in red, the crime shit is awesome, but even better was the latter half & the kung fu vibe. Best fights in comic tv, best effects in comic film/tv in some time, the acting is great this season, plus it has returns from the first season that work perfect, and teases for season 3 that keep you wanting more. I can't wait til the Defenders meet the Avengers, and i can't wait for the Punisher to get his own series!

Batman vs Superman *spoilers ahead*

Okay, so yes Marvel laid the groundwork out for the Avengers perfectly, while they were doing that, DC was producing the greatest comic book trilogy ever in my opinion with the Dark Knight series. Now while i hated how Dark Knight Rises ended, i did like that they left a door open for JGL to be Batman Beyond or Nightwing, we didn't get that instead we got Ben Affleck. Now i am a Affleck fan, i dig his flicks so i was behind him on this, Affleck as Bruce Wayne, and it ties into Man of Steel, hell yes. Oh Man of Steel, yes, the often hated Superman flick, which to me is the second best outside of Superman 2, i thought it was awesome, but i thought they should let Batman be and concentrate on Superman and the others to make the Justice League. Well we got the Justice League, we got a film with Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman & Cyborg, only instead of feeling like easter eggs, they felt forced, alot of things in the film felt forced, the plot was very forced....plot, what plot, let us just have random scene after random scene, where is motive, where is logic, where is reason? It is all gone, there is none, Lex Luther's goals don't really matter, the reasons he goes after characters aren't thought out, the reason Wonder Woman helps the Brave & the Bold is just a plot device, Batman & Superman's animosity toward one another is shoved down are throats but we are not sure what exactly is being shoved down it, and the reasons why they come together is laughable at best. I will say this, visually it looks awesome, the actors all do great, the costumes & sets are top notch, it is not a bad film, it just has a bad script, or a highly jumbled clusterfuck of a mess that they pass off as a script. I almost with they went the extra mile and made it even more of a mess to give us more what the fuck moments, this is not so bad it is good, it is not bad, it is just a disasterpiece.

Allegiant

So the Divergent series is so so, it is not great, but it is a fun worth time viewing, the third is getting alot of hate but honestly, yeah, it might be "bad" but this film is actually more entertaining than the last couple Hunger Games flicks. The acting is somewhat wooden but no one is boring in it, it has some scenes that are laughable but in the end who cares, it is worth the five dollar admission. Plus Shaiene Woodley is quite the hottie!

Pee Wee's Big Holiday

There is no reason why this movie should have been made, but it was, there is no reason why this movie should have been as awesome as it was, but this fucking movie ROCKED! I was lughing my ass off the entire time, it was fun, refreshing, a road movie with characters you meet and when they pop back up is means something. Paul Reubens does not age, sure there is make up but the dude looks spot on as he did 30 years ago. There is nothing pretentious about this, it is just a dumb fun, funny, road flick, best Pee Wee since the first one!

Fuller House

Perhaps i shouldn't be the one to speak my mind on this show, i grew up with the original but i don't hold it fondly, it was full of stupid humor, cliches, stereotypes and white picket morals, but none the less it is charming as all hell. The highly self aware sequel series is the original but gender swapped but it is full of best of moments from the original, and cameos galore. As stupid, and yes, it is STUPID, as this show is, you can't help but smile, even if you are shaking your head, rolling your eyes and face palming. When there is a legit funny joke(while still stupid, but hey, i like stupid jokes) it is pretty damn funny! Oh and Stephanie is hot!

10 Cloverfield Lane

So in 2007 we got a mysterious trailer for an untitled film that was found footage and the Statue of Liberty was destroyed, that film wound up being Cloverfield and it is highly underrated. Talks of a sequel were tossed around and many assumed Super 8 would tie in some how, it didn't but 8 years after Cloverfield comes the "sequel" 10 Cloverfield Lane. No one knew about this, the trailer dropped like 2 months ago and shocked everyone, and for my money one of the best trailers in recent memory. I loved the film, it starts off very Hitchcockian with suspense and a few Kubrick esque shots, before being ran off the road(literally) and the next 20 minutes is creepy, full of dark humor and feels like a modern exploitation film. John Goodman is AMAZING in it, he is multi layered and down right scary at times. he pulls off the psycho menace perfectly. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is as hot as ever and fits nicely into the "final girl" role(is she a final girl? Can you call her that? Well i am). When shit hits the fan the mood changed, the paranoia is strong and that shit just sets off a string of events that speak on human survival. The aliens, oh shut up, it is Cloverfield, you knew there would be aliens, remind me of the assblasters from the Tremors series, the end felt a little bit like Super 8, only without the mutual respect, and the final shot is a classic JJ move on not answering questions.

It's Always Sunny Season 10

It's Always Sunny has always been one of the most dependable go to shows on TV, and this season above all the rest might be the best& funniest yet. The characters upped their desirability factor and added heart. The episode at the ski resort might be the funniest episode in the shows history, and    the Being Frank edition might be the shows best ever. The finale was a bit out of Seinfeld(though alot of the show is) and i hope it continues maybe not for another 10 years, but i think it could go on!

Man Seeking Woman season 2

The first season was a gem, it went under the radar for the most part. It's combination or surrealism mixed with brutal honesty struck a chord with folks. This show is pure fantasy yet at the same time has such an emotional pull of truth that you can't help but but laugh, think, and cringe sometimes at the same time. It is awkward as fuck, can be super creepy plus the show has smarts, the wit oozes from the show, and this season spoke high truths, "nice guys" "friend zones" "dibs" all this stuff that can be thrown out the window, as it should, hit the pavement and settle into a goo that shimmers a reflection of society, a society that could learn alot, just from watching this show, you want commentary on issues, watch this show, it speaks for modern society! Plus it is full of nerdy shit, demons, monsters, inside jokes, robots, what is not to love?

Emilie

So Emilie is a film getting alot of hype, luckily it isn't overhype, cause i enjoyed this flick. It is creepy, legit creepy, and the star, Sarah Bolger is hot as fuck! It escalates, simple things like breaking the rules turn to killing animals real fast, this isn't an innocent film by any means. THe end felt a tad rushed & cliched, especially the "escape/revenge" portion. All in all, i am glad the horror version of Home Alone with the Sitter was a creepy film, the film i wanted it to be,
