Evil Dead is one of my favorite franchises. My favorite of which is The Evil Dead, the og. It is more pure horror and I love the low budget nature. I also love the sequels, I enjoyed Rise. Now with me preferring a more horror tone, Burn has to be something I loved right? Well I liked it, it's well crafted but it lacks fun. The original while more horror and serious still had an aura of fun to it. This here was brutal for brutal sake, very edge lord at times. Now the gore is impressive and there are some great kills, it just felt generic. Perhaps if it wasn't an Evil Dead film I might have dug it more. Alas the curse of a horror franchise. Oh well, bring on more of em.....just don't over saturate the market.
