Cry Macho is Clint Eastwood's lightest film in years. It feels like a spiritual sequel to Gran Torino only take away the grit & craftsmanship and replace it sap and odd transitions. It's a good film, it feels like a flick that aunts & uncles will lend their nephews/nieces or their brothers/sisters/in laws and rave on but it is more of a one time viewing. Eastwood is Eastwood, the other cast is decent but the dialogue they deliver is laughable. The plot is there but ultimately feels sappy.
