Pen15 is a total nostalgia trip for the worst years of my life. The show takes place in the seventh grade in the year 2000, the same year i entered that hell of a span of life known as middle school. Everything feels genuine, i mean kids haven't changed that much so mainly just change the hair & clothes and lingo and boom 2000. ALl the situations feel awkward and everything is hilarious, but the show has tons of heart at the same time. Nerdy kid that doesn't even want to sit by the more outcasted girls while he is wearing a wrestling shirt? That was me! The soundtrack is spot on, helping build the nostalgia, and through all of the nostalgia it made me reflect about how glad i am those years are over, with that said, bring on season 2 and the eighth grade!
