Shudder does great horror, Shudder does great foreign horror, but sometimes the foreign horror drags, and sometimes the horror feels cheap. Kandisha is a flick that felt like it was dragging until the final act, and it indeed took a cheap vibe but ran with it. It hid the negatives and exacerbated the positives. Lots of exposition but the final 15 minutes is worth the wait. The film is stylish so it is not dull to look at, just wish that the final 15 minutes had some more sprinkles throughout the film. Oh well, the shark is best left unseen!
