Ah April 20th, 420, the day Super Troopers 2 is released, i am not a big Super Troopers fan so i didn't see it April 19th(i always go the night before) but on the 20th of April i watched a different "stoner film", and i use that term lightly. I myself did not smoke, but perhaps if i did.....no, i still wouldn't have enjoyed this. It is not a terrible film, it just feels like a poor mans Kids, except the characters aren't total pieces of shit, for the record, i'm not even a fan of Kids. It seems inspired by Kids and Dazed & Confused, now I LOVE, Dazed & Confused, but this is no Dazed & Confused. It's about popular girls being the stoner leads, and lets face it, that is how it is these days, but i found nothing to connect to with these millennials. Decent script but not a tight one, solid looking film but not a great one. Cute girls that are depressed, i get it, cute & depressed girls that smoke pot, i get it, however these characters and their situations just bored me.
