The Flash

The Flash is probably my favorite non James Gunn comic book film since Joker. Andy Muschietti & Gunn will be a perfect match with Brave & The Bold, both use soundtracks greatly. I could have done without some of the jokes but appreciated that it incorporated some dark humor. Once we get nuts it gets pretty pulpy and even feels like an EC comic at times. The dual Barrys work great, Sasha Calle is a total babe as Kara, Michael Keaton is gleeful! We get some great cameos, one of which really popped me. As well as some great easter eggs about some other bits of film history. THere is alot of heart here, especially in the final act and that is one thing that was missing from the start of the Snyderverse. The plot moves quick and feels very Snyderverse in the first act, which feels intentional. By time it ends it doesn't really set up TroGunnVille but it does a hell of a job doing Infinite Earths/Flashpoint as a swan song for this clustered franchised. With as great as The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker were i am stoked for Gunn's DC!
