I don't know what the fuck i just watched. Shudder's latest, Unwelcome is both a welcome and Unwelcome film. It is bonkers as fuck but bonkers isn't always good. I had no idea what was happening, and that isn't a bad thing it's just it felt jumbled. The first act is all over the place then we get new characters and while the intent was mean spirited for them it still felt like punishment for the audience. Then we get the goblins and holy fuck is that insane, in fact the last ten minutes is like Hausu only thing is the last act is the only memorable part i feel. While not technically good per se it is still an entertaining film.
