This isn't a perfect film, this is a tough film though. It is tough to sit through, it is cringe worthy at times, not because of quality but through substance, substance abuse that it. Steve Carell & Timothee Chalamet both deliver great performances, the only fault hindering this from being great is pacing issues. It could have used a bit of trimming here & there but the real meat & potatoes comes from the acting. The acting alone makes you feel what it is like to go through addiction and to love someone going through addiction.
