Paul Verhoeven is a man i once truly loved, and i still do, i just don't love alot of his modern works....or well any work post Hollow Man. Benedetta was billed as a ninsploitaton film, a possible return to form. It was semi exploitation and had some daring moments, it didn't play it safe. This is his artsiest film, and it has some strong lesbionics involved but much like his post Hollow Man efforts it is tedious, self absorbed and dull. I hope one day he returns to give us a strong satirical genre film but if not i am fine with the catalog he left us!
