Licorice Pizza

Paul Thomas Anderson is back! Sure he never went anywhere but Phantom Thread was boring as fuck, Inherent Vice and The Master were well crafted films but not very memorable. Licorice Pizza is not only his best film since There Will Be Blood, it is his best since Magnolia. I have a hunch this might become his biggest cult film since Boogie Nights. The film stock is amazing, the soundtrack is excellent, the cast is superb and the story is a journey. It is intentionally awkward, deliberately cringe and has an aura of creepiness with a sense of dread all while keeping an upbeat vibe. All the accolades this has received thus far are warranted and it is destined for even more.
