Nightmare Alley

Nightmare Alley is one of Guillermo Del Toro's best. I find his work fascinating but i really only love Blade & Hellboy 2. They are gorgeous but feel like style over substance, but with expert craftsmanship. Nightmare Alley, along with Crimson Peak & Shape of Water feel like US versions of his spanish films. I have not seen the original Nightmare Alley but i see it is uploaded on Youtube so i might check it out. The story is super tight, but it does have some pacing issues, you go on a journey and it unravels into madness, like a gothic Requiem For a Dream. The entire cast is great, especially Bradley Cooper, i called the ending but i loved how it happened. I almost wish this was black & white, not for the noir aspect but the fact that it feels like a art house B movie at times.
